Privacy Policy

This is a first-draft policy meant to get Potchkey Labs launched with something reasonable in place — it hasn't had a lawyer's review pass yet and should get one before you'd want to rely on it as final.

This Privacy Policy explains how Potchkey Labs, LLC ("Potchkey," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, browse or download Apps through our marketplace, or otherwise use our Services, as those terms are defined in our Terms of Service. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

What information we collect

We try to collect as little as we actually need. Depending on how you use the Services, that can include:

Category	Examples
Contact info	Name and email address, when you use the contact form, sign up for download notifications, or email us directly.
Message content	The subject and message you submit through the contact form.
Purchase & download info	Which Apps you've downloaded or purchased, and billing information handled by our payment processor (see "Payment processing" below) — we don't store full card numbers ourselves.
Device & usage data	Basic technical information like browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring pages, typically collected automatically through standard web server logs and/or privacy-conscious analytics.
Cookies & local storage	Small amounts of data stored in your browser to remember things like your shopping cart contents between visits.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

• Respond to messages you send us through the contact form or by email;
• Deliver Apps you've downloaded or purchased, and send related transactional emails (like download links or receipts);
• Send you update emails about new App releases, if you've opted in to receive them — you can unsubscribe at any time;
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services, including understanding which Apps and pages people find useful;
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems;
• Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

Payment processing

Purchases made through the Services are processed by a third-party payment processor (currently Stripe, Inc.). When you make a purchase, your payment details are sent directly to and handled by Stripe under its own Privacy Policy — Potchkey does not receive or store your full card number.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and comparable browser storage for core functionality (like remembering your cart) and, where used, basic analytics to understand traffic to the Services. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking cookies may affect some functionality, like your cart persisting between visits.

Sharing your information

We share information only as needed to run the Services, including with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Services, such as our payment processor, hosting provider, and email delivery service — bound to use your information only to provide those services to us;
• Legal & safety — if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith it's necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Potchkey, our users, or the public;
• Business transfers — if Potchkey is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we'll provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, such as maintaining your purchase history for support purposes, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.

Your choices and rights

You can:

• Ask us what personal information we have about you;
• Ask us to correct or delete your personal information;
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email, or by contacting us directly;
• Clear or block cookies through your browser settings.

To make any of these requests, email us at support@potchkeylabs.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); we'll honor applicable requests to the extent required by law.

Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@potchkeylabs.com and we will delete it. See also the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act section of our Terms of Service.

International users

Potchkey is based in the United States, and any information you provide will be processed and stored in the United States. If you're accessing the Services from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Third-party links

The Services may link to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Potchkey (for example, GitHub, Cloudflare, or Buy Me a Coffee). This Privacy Policy doesn't apply to those third parties — we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them any information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date, and where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an email or a notice on the Services).
